The least liked aspect of life in the outdoors was the cooking. Imagine having to lug cumbersome cooking stoves and vacuum flasks to a snowy mountain top and then trying to rustle up a meal in that kind of temperature and pressure. Chances are you came close to chucking the stove down the mountain side. This was until Jetboil came along.

“Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:6-7, 9 (NKJV)

So I have decided that to get flavors I like I needed to start roasting nuts with my favorite seasonings, which for the most part I like a spicy kick, so I went with the best, Anthony Spices from Arizona. Not only are these spices full of flavor, they also offer a wide range of heat levels from 1-10. My favorites are the Arizona Hatch (heat level 7), Arizona Jalapeño (heat level 5), Arizona Chipotle (heat level 6) and finally the hottest one Arizona Habanero (heat level 10). All of their offerings are amazing and you cannot go wrong with any of them. During the process I tried to gauge how much seasoning it took to do a pound of nuts and roughly figured you could get 6-10lb’s of roasted nuts per bottle of spice, depending on how much you like on yours. All of there products are non GMO, have no MSG and are gluten free….check out their entire product offerings here Anthony Spices Ok onward to the easy process of creating your own roasted nuts. First I like to point out that if you do your homework you can find “bulk” deals on the internet and or locally as once you start doing this on your own you will not be buying much of the store bought products again, just remember you must start with RAW nuts and you can mix it up a bit and do a blend like I did below. Ok on to the roasting process…..Enjoy!
